About the Ranch

Robert and Claudean Saunders started operation on the ranch in 1996 with the goal of raising free-ranging, trophy white-tailed deer for enjoyment as well as hunting. The ranch was high-fenced in early 1997 and South Texas bred whitetails were added.

The ranch got its name from the many native buckeye trees growing on the property. In full bloom, buckeyes produce a brilliant red flower and eventually seeds that are said to bring good luck. Whitetails do not favor buckeye leaves or their flowers, but the plant makes an attractive addition during the spring months.

Hunts still available.

No better way to impress a client or to reward  valuable employees.  Let us do the entertaining.  Groups welcome.
